Office of the Director for Extension

The Extension Administration team leads strategic efforts for K-State Research and Extension. Under the guidance of Director Gregg Hadley, Ph.D. this team oversees all extension personnel. The administration office also works closely with Kansas State University's President and Vice President to ensure K-State Research and Extension is contributing to the university's Next-Gen strategic plan.

Extension Field Operations is an administrative office responsible for coordinating communications and direction for local unit extension offices. It oversees the partnership with local extension unit governing bodies and boards to ensure proper financial, personnel and programmatic responsibilities.

Office of Associate Director for Extension Programs

The extension programming leadership team guides and oversees strategic efforts for K-State Research and Extension's statewide programs. This team of specialists is led by Associate Director for Extension Programs, Rick Peterson, Ph.D. Together, they offer expertise in programmatic areas like community development, agricultural, water and natural resources, horticulture, family and consumer sciences, youth development and more. This office ensures programming developed at the university is accessible to all Kansans.

The Extension Operations office serves as a liaison between K-State's Division of Human Resources and extension employees. This team provides support for hiring; agent onboarding and professional development; employee benefits, leave, FMLA, and worker's compensation; payroll; and employee exits. Extension Operations also manages local unit staff members' K-State Research and Extension account access.
