Horticulture Field Day Planned Aug. 27 in Colby

COLBY, Kan. – Flowers, trees and other horticulture topics specific to northwest Kansas will be in focus at Kansas State University’s 2015 Horticulture Field Day on Thursday, Aug. 27 at the K-State Northwest Research-Extension Center in Colby.
Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with the program starting at 6:00 p.m. at the center, located at 105 Experiment Farm Road. Light refreshments will be served.
Topics and presenters include:
- Working Trees – Bryan Peterson, district forester, Kansas Forest Service, Hays;
- Prairie Star Annual Flower Trials – Holly Dickman, K-State Research and Extension horticulture agent, Ellis County; and
- Horticulture Hot Topics – various speakers.
