Please respond this week.

QUIZ BOWL EQUIPMENT
From time to time our office receives calls about the buzzer equipment used for quiz bowl contests. The company where we have purchased our buzzers continues to upgrade their product. We have been very satisfied with their service over the years. There may be other companies that offer this equipment, but I am not aware of them. If your county is interested in having your own equipment, you can request a catalog from Zeecraft by calling 1-800-662-7475, or e-mail zeecraft@nep.net . --Steve Fisher sfisher@oznet.ksu.edu

KANSAS STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE SUMMER HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS
These camps will be similar to those held last summer in which KSU students will travel to your county and fulfill your horsemanship needs. The clinicians will be qualified to give horsemanship clinics, test youth for Levels I, II and III; and work with judging teams/individuals.

To schedule a date, please call Julie Wolf at 785-532-1264. Have an idea of approximately how many would attend, what type of clinic you prefer and dates you would like to host the clinic.

It would be wise to visit with neighboring counties and work together in scheduling the clinics. Clinics would need to be scheduled on the weekends until mid-May and then any day after that until mid-August.

The cost for the horsemanship clinic is $12 per youth per day. There is no cost for level testing as it is already paid for when the youth sends in the $10 to receive a test. -Julie Wolf jrwolf@ksu.edu

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR AGENTS WITH 4-H HORSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Many tests and level cover sheets have been received by the state 4-H office that have been filled out incorrectly. Please refer to the following check-list to make sure the correct process is followed in sending materials and receiving tests to expedite the process.

- Agents must sign all forms, including the cover sheet
- Make sure check is attached to cover sheet (Please make checks payable to Kansas 4-H Foundation)
- Knowledge tests must be passed before skill test can be conducted
- Bubble sheets must be signed by the agent
- Test administrators need to read the typed instructions thoroughly and follow them completely
- Both level I and level II knowledge tests may be taken before skill test is taken, but level I knowledge test must be passed before requesting and taking level II knowledge test
- Use this Website to check your county progress - http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/pr_eyas/
