VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED TO HELP IN OUR BOOTHS AT THE KANSAS STATE FAIR
The College of Agriculture, the College of Human Ecology, and K-State Research and Extension will once again have booths in the Pride of Kansas building at the Kansas State Fair. The State Fair runs from Friday, September 7, through Sunday, September 16, 2001.

We would appreciate if faculty and staff from campus, counties, Agronomy Fields, and Research-Extension Centers would consider going to the fair and working for several hours on any one day. Also, we would really appreciate agents and/or faculty from campus, who are going to the fair anyway, signing up to work a couple hours in the booth before or after your activities.

We wanted to contact everyone now and ask for tentative volunteers to work in one or more of the booths. When everyone returns in August, time is very short for contacting you, so we wanted to start early. We will need people to work on both Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m.; Sunday-Thursday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.; and the last Sunday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

You will see people from your part of the state, prospective students and their parents, old college friends, and many K-State alumni who come by the booths to visit. It is fun sharing information about our colleges and organization with everyone.

If you would like to work in one or more of the booths, please contact Janet Wenderott at 785-532-5729 or jwendero@oznet.ksu.edu  by May 25, and let her know which booth, day, and time is best or, at least for now, if you would consider working sometime during the fair. We will be in touch in August after the start of the fall semester to finalize days, times, transportation, etc. --Jackie McClaskey, Cara Richardson, Steven Graham sgraham@oznet.ksu.edu
