VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED TO HELP IN OUR
BOOTHS AT KANSAS STATE FAIR We had good response to our note in May but need to fill the rest of the schedule soon before the fair starts. We will need people to work in the three booths on both Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and the last Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sedgwick County has volunteered to man the K-State Research and Extension booth all day on Tuesday, September 11. What about some other offices taking a day? We would appreciate faculty and staff from campus, counties, Agronomy Fields, and Research-Extension Centers going to the fair and working for several hours on any one day. Also, we would appreciate agents and/or faculty, who are going to the fair anyway, signing up to work a couple hours in the booth before or after your activities. It is fun sharing information about our colleges and organization. If you would like to work in one or more of the booths, please contact Janet Wenderott at 785-532-5729 or jwendero@oznet.ksu.edu by August 31. Please tell her which booth you want to work in and which day and times are best for you. We will be in touch soon afterward with the final schedule plus send tickets, work out transportation, etc. Thank you for your assistance. See you at the Kansas State Fair. --Jackie McClaskey, Cara Richardson, Steven Graham
