Chuck Otte, Geary County Extension Agent, Agriculture & Natural Resources, has been selected to participate in the 2002 Rotary International Group Study Exchange to Senegal, West Africa.

Rotary sponsors the group study exchange as an international professional development program. The program seeks to further world peace by building personal relationships around the world. The program is designed to develop professional and leadership skills among the exchange participants, to better prepare them to address the needs of their communities and an increasingly global workplace.

PUBLICATIONS/PRODUCTION SERVICES UPDATE
Use of Anti-Discrimination Disclaimers
A new edition of the Communications Guide will reach local offices soon! When publishing materials such as newsletters, brochures and other printed materials, be sure to check the K-State Research and Extension Communications Guide for proper use of disclaimers and logos.

To assure a consistent and unified structure of publications from our organization, it is important that our printed materials contain the same elements. Review the new Communications Guide to be sure the elements contained in publications from your office are consistent with those in the guide. Questions regarding publication style, design or editing may be referred to Nancy Peavler npeavler@oznet.ksu.edu .

Order CD-8
The latest edition of the Kansas Information Express Disc is available on the May 2002 New Publication Order Form at a cost of $5 each, reflecting the cost of production. Budget limits preclude offering a complimentary copy of the CD to local offices. Orders are due by March 1.

The CD is a convenient way to make available copies of electronically formatted publications. Remember, too, that most current publications are also available in the Electronic Publications Library at www.oznet.ksu.edu/library .

4-H CCS Materials Order Form
Watch for an upcoming order form for 4-H CCS publications. As Jim Adams recently noted in The Tuesday Letter,  orders are to be compiled centrally for the best organizational discount. You may already have received the 4-H CCS catalog, which can be used to prepare your order, but please use the form sent from the Department of Communications. Orders are due back to the Distribution Center no later than March 25.
