HEALTH BENEFITS FAIR
The Kansas State Employees Health Care Commission will host a Health Benefits Fair on June 18, in the Student Union at Fort Hays State University.

The fair is designed for employees, retirees, and their family members to explore and discuss the basic designs and concepts of the state's Group Health Insurance Program (GHIP) as well as gather suggestions on what they would like to see included in the insurance program. Please note that the presentations at this clinic do not apply to the Federal Employees Health Benefit plans.

The schedule is as follows:

8:00 a.m. - Opening, Sign-in
9:00 a.m. - Review of current GHIP options
10:00 a.m. - What would you like to see (for active employees)
10:00 a.m. - HealthQuest Awareness Event
11:00 a.m. - Lunch
1:00 p.m. - What would you like to see (for retirees)
2:00 p.m. - Choosing the right GHIP
3:00 p.m. - Demand Management Topic
4:00 p.m. - Closing Session

There will be health plan booths from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. with representatives from the GHIP providers present.

2002-2003 NELD-NC PROGRAM
Information about the upcoming 2002-2003 National Extension Leadership Development - North Central (NELD-NC) program is available at http://www.uwex.edu/ces/neld/ . Seminar information, including topics and dates, and a brochure are available on the Website. NELD-North Central is sponsored by Cooperative Extension in the 12 North Central States and is coordinated by the University of Wisconsin-Extension.

The NELD-NC program is approximately 12 months in length and consists of four seminars, with the first one beginning October 2-5, 2002.

The purpose of NELD-NC is to provide current and future Extension leaders with the vision, courage, and tools to lead in a changing world. If you would like to submit an application for the 2002-2003 program, the form is available on our Website, http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/prev/ . Sorry: Wrong Number
The item number for the 4-H Journal Project Selection Guide was incorrectly listed on the September Order Form sent June 7. When placing orders, please note the following: 4-H Journal Project Selection Guide should be 4-H 665. 4-H Journal Recruitment Guide was correctly listed as 4-H 851 on the August Order Form. We regret the error.

Publication Changes
MF-945 Soil Evaluation for Home Septic Systems, has been deadfiled in both printed and electronic formats.

Two publications that were previously available as grant-funded items are now available through allocation funding. They are: MF2214 Minimum Standards for Design and Construction of Onsite Wastewater Systems. MF935 Plugging Abandoned Wells.
