FIVE YEAR PLAN
Thanks to everyone who chose to become involved in the Five Year Plan
breakout sessions last week during Annual Conference. There was a great
deal of discussion and your suggestions for improvement are being
considered as our new plan continues to evolve. Input is still being
collected and the feedback forms are due this Wednesday. You can fax them
to Marlene Hightower at 785-532-6290 for further distribution. --Randy
Higgins, Forrest Chumley, Larry Erpelding, and the rest of the Five-Year

PUBLICATIONS/PRODUCTION SERVICES
UPDATE
SEE US FOR PRINTING NEEDS
The Duplicating Center in Umberger Hall has supported the needs of
K-State Research and Extension, and the College of Agriculture for more
than 40 years. This year's addition of the Canon Imagerunner 110 allows
the production of high quality, high resolution copies at 110 images a
minute, assuring clients the fastest turnaround available on
single-color copies. Depending on quantity, copy prices range from
$0.025 to $0.04 per image, plus paper.
We specialize in newsletters, fair books,
and trifold brochures. To obtain a copy quote, or to discuss multicolor
printing, folding, binding, padding, shrinkwrapping, or poster printing,
contact Greg LeValley, printing supervisor, at glevalle@oznet.ksu.edu
.
FORGOTTEN BUT NOT GONE
Thanks to all who helped make the pickup at the K-State Research and
Extension Annual Conference successful! Some of you placed orders, some
prepared publications, and others printed, packaged, or picked up. It
went smoothly in most cases, and we appreciate everyone's efforts to
make it work.
Special orders resulted in the
distribution of more than 1,000 overstocked items from our shelves --
and considerable system savings on shipping costs. Supplies of Express
CD7 have been exhausted, and only a few copies of Express CD6 (April
1999) remain. In addition, FACS annual series publications, Kids a
Cookin' CD-ROMs, and various other items rode back with conference
attendees.
We still have some unclaimed items in the
Distribution Center. If your office name appears below, please let us
know if you want the items to be shipped or still intend to pick them
up: Comanche, Franklin, Leavenworth, McPherson, Ottawa, Sedgwick,
Stanton, and Trego counties, and South Central Area. Please contact Jane
Gibbs at: jgibbs@oznet.ksu.edu
with shipping instructions as soon as convenient.
DEADFILED PUBLICATIONS
Printed copies of two publications have been deadfiled, but the
electronic copy of each will remain in the online Publications Library:
MF2506 "Sampling: Statistical and Economical Analysis," and
MF2507
"Statistical Process Control: Techniques for Feed
Manufacturing." --Nancy Peavler npeavler@oznet.ksu.edu
