ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR EXTENSION AND APPLIED RESEARCH SEMINARS
Several options let you participate live in the candidate seminars.

Candidates for Associate Director for Extension and Applied Research will present their seminars and take
questions in the Alumni Center Ballroom on Monday, June 7, and Wednesday, June 9. You can attend these sessions in Manhattan, connect via technology from a centralized location, or connect right at your desk!

4-H TRAP AND SKEET SHOOT
Dennis Elbrader, Cherokee County Ag Agent, invites all counties to a 4-H Trap and Skeet Shoot to be held June 12, beginning at 10 a.m. The shoot will be held at Shawnee Creek Preserve, 2733 Center Star Rd, Columbus, KS.

There will be 2 age groups and all shooters must be in the 4-H shooting sports program from the county they represent.

NEW GUIDE ON ENGAGING YOUTH IN COMMUNITY PLANNING
This how-to guide on getting youth involved in local policymaking and community planning was produced in response to hundreds of requests from adults nationwide who want youth involved in shaping their communities. The handbook provides a step-by-step guide to youth engagement and is supported by an extensive online library of articles and activities. PAPER COST RISING

STATE 4-H DAIRY JUDGING AND QUIZ BOWL CONTESTS
The State 4-H Dairy Judging and Quiz Bowl contests will be held August 13, Kenwood Park, Salina. There are new opportunities available this year for all youth interested in Dairy! Check out the details by clicking on State Events on the 4-H Youth Development website or check the counties listserv for a special mailing.
