IN THIS ISSUE... ...Word
from the Associate Director - Extension and Applied Research WORD FROM THE
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - EXTENSION AND APPLIED RESEARCH For those who didn't find it, please get a name badge ordered (see the instruction later in this Tuesday letter). I'd also encourage you to get a new one if your current badge is not one of the newer "white" ones. If you wonder why I emphasize the importance, you can look back at last week's Tuesday letter and replace State Fair with any of your local programs where you hope to have someone attend who has not attended any of your programs previously. Bottom line, make sure people don't ever walk away wondering who you were! --Daryl Buchholz dbuchhol@oznet.ksu.edu
THANKS FOR A
FANTABULOUS STATE FAIR! And, a special thank you to all of the 4-H volunteers, youth and parents who were also key partners in producing these activities. Over 1,000 volunteers were involved, including the 79 volunteers from 24 counties and 2 countries (Germany and Czechoslovakia) who spent 662 hours coordinating the Photography Events. Your efforts are truly appreciated by the Department of 4-H Youth Development. And, we look forward to rolling out the Kansas 4-H Centennial in the new 4-H Exhibit Building at the 2005 Kansas State Fair! --Pat McNally pmcnally@oznet.ksu.edu
