Vol. 14, No. 46
September 30, 2008 ...Word from the
Associate Director - Extension and Applied Research WORD FROM THE
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - EXTENSION AND APPLIED RESEARCH Terry Woodbury, Kansas Communities, LLC , offered a series of four questions he has found useful in keeping a community group engaged in positive work. 1. What did you plan to do a year ago? You might frame those questions in the context of the Extension model. For example, question number 3 might be more focused on how the accomplishments changed the target audience. With County Extension annual meetings just about underway, I'd encourage you to use these questions with your council and/or your individual program development committees. Extension Councils could reflect on these questions and provide guidance on the priority situations and resulting local Extension programs each year. Have a great week! --Daryl Buchholz dbuchhol@ksu.edu
