- The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has databases that detail the hazards of a variety of chemicals.

--NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards is a quick reference that provides basic information about specific chemicals.
-- Occupational Guidelines for Chemical Hazards provides very detailed information about the hazards of many chemicals.
-- Chemical Safety Page provides links to other sites, including MSDS databases.

ChemFinder is a large database of common chemical information.
- Chemical Reactivity Worksheet is a database of reactivity information for about 4,300 chemicals that allows you to virtually "mix" chemicals to determine if there will be any hazardous reactions. Developed by the Office of Response and Restoration, National Ocean Service, NOAA, and the Chemical Emergency Prevention and Prepareness Office of the EPA.
