Reflections on the Year

Submitted by Aliesa Good

As 2025 draws to a close, this is an ideal moment to pause and reflect on the journey we’ve shared.

This year has been marked by change, growth and opportunities that will shape the future of K-State Extension as we move into 2026. Every program delivered, partnership built, and community served has made a meaningful impact on Kansans’ lives and strengthened the communities we call home.

As you look back on the year, consider these questions:

• What moments made you proud to be part of extension?
• What new skill or partnership will you carry forward into 2026?
• How did your efforts make a difference in your community?

Our greatest strength lies in our people. Thank you for the countless ways you’ve contributed to our mission and supported one another along the way. The One K-State initiative has amplified this strength by connecting us to resources and expertise across all K-State colleges, creating new opportunities for collaboration and impact.

As we step into the new year, let’s carry forward the resilience, innovation and teamwork that have defined 2025. Together, we will continue to adapt, thrive and make a difference across the state. Marshall Stewart’s Leadership in 10 Steps reminds us of many truths, and Step #10 says it best: “Choose to lead, be great, and change the world.”

Thank you for your dedication and commitment throughout 2025. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and an inspiring start to the new year. Take time to rest, recharge and enjoy the season with loved ones.
