Shout Out: Area Extension Professionals Who Helped at the Topeka Farm Show
This week the Shout Out is from Candis Stiles, Shawnee County Extension Director; and is sent for area Kansas Extension professionals who helped at the Topeka Farm Show. Candis writes:
"I would like to send a shout out to all of the area Kansas Extension professionals that helped make the Kansas State Extension booth at the Topeka Farm Show possible. This is a big event in Shawnee County and in the past our Ag Agent has led the charge. We have always had great help with area agents signing up to work the booth.
This year, with Shawnee County not having an Ag Agent, Jill Barnhardt and Dr. Jason Warner agreed to take the lead. Jill created the sign up and helped get the word out. Dr. Warner communicated with the Show's coordinator to make sure we were all set for our regular booth and his demonstration booth with K-State cattle in Landon Arena.
Also, many thanks to Ross Mosteller and David Hallauer for helping take all the tables, chairs and boxes back to the extension office after they worked the last shift. Other Extension professionals that pitched in were Margit Kaltenekker, Kyler Langvardt, Matt Young, Ryan Schaub, Rod Schaub, Lauren Gammill, Katharine Sharp, Casey Ling, Lindsay Shorter and Katelyn Barthol. You all made the 2026 Topeka Farm Show, Extension booth happen. Thanks Again!"
Thanks to all who helped -- for all you do for the people of Kansas, our colleagues and K-State Extension.
