Diversity Programs Office Update
As we continue to work through the summer we get closer and closer to the closing ceremonies for the MAPS program and the 2016 KSRE Student Summer Research Fellowship. In fact, they take place the next two weeks. We appreciate all of the support we’ve received from faculty, staff, and students across the college and would like for you to see what these students have accomplished at K-State this summer. Find information about their closing presentations below:
• MAPS: The Project IMPACT Summer Bridge Program students are entering the fifth week of their program! The students started off the program with the Guaranteed 4.0 Learning System Seminar, a workshop targeting time management and maximizing study materials. It was a great way to help our MAPS students get focused and prepared to start their college classes. So far, the students have been on two Industry Tours (Cargill and Phillips 66) and are now in the final stretch of their program. We would like to thank all of our college and KSRE faculty/staff who have assisted in making their summer a success!! They will be giving poster presentations on Wednesday, July 20, in the Engineering Hall Atrium from 2 – 3:30 p.m.
• Kansas State Research & Extension (KSRE) Summer Research Fellowship participants are presenting their research the week after MAPS. They would like for you to save the date on Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m. in Waters Hall room 137. During that time, the fellows will be giving a 10-12 minute presentation over their summer research. We hope you can make time to support our young scholars!
