Invitation to the Livestock PFT Spring Meeting
I hope recent warm weather has you feeling ready to grow! The Livestock Program Focus Team spring meeting takes place on March 28 and 29, at the Sedgwick County Extension Facility, located at 7001 West 21st Street in Wichita, Kansas. Our spring meeting is focused on professional development and formulating solutions to local producer needs. Everyone is invited, regardless of their PFT affiliation.
Starting Tuesday, March 28, at High Noon Thirty we will jump into nutrition presentations and discussions. These will center on both content knowledge and the application of principles. That afternoon will feature a PFT business meeting and conclude with a dinner and talk on agricultural lending presented by American Ag Credit. Wednesday, March 29, begins with a talk targeting sheep and goat production from Dr. Reid Redden, Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Sheep and Goat Specialist. Afterwards, the new and improved Beef Ration Analysis and Nutritional System, BRaNDS, will be spotlighted.
Agents from all PFTs are encouraged to attend. Especially if you’d like to obtain the newest and best BRaNDS software and brush up on ruminant nutrition, sheep resources, and goat knowledge.
Please make plans to attend the Spring Livestock PFT meeting today. Registration cost is only $15 per person. Please RSVP and send checks to Central Kansas District, 300 West Ash, Room 111, Salina, KS 67402 or contact Anthony Ruiz at 785-392-2147 or anruiz@ksu.edu.
