Miller Leaving IGP to become President, CEO of Kansas Cooperative Council

Brandi Miller

Brandi Miller, the associate director and online education and professional development coordinator for the IGP Institute, has announced that she will be leaving to become president and CEO of the Kansas Cooperative Council.

Miller has been at K-State since 2010 when she led a distance education program in the Department of Grain Science and Industry. In the years since, that program has grown from 300 annual participants in 2010 to more than 900 in 2017.

In 2015, Miller added her administrative duties with the IGP Institute.

“We are grateful for Brandi’s leadership of both the distance education program and the IGP Institute, and wish her well as she takes on her new role,” said Gordon Smith, IGP Institute director and department head for grain science and industry.

Miller and Smith will continue to lead the IGP Institute through April 9, when Miller begins her new position.

“I am most proud of how the (distance education) program received three national awards from education associations,” Miller said.

“Not only do I have great colleagues on campus, but also the people I’ve met across Kansas and internationally have been amazing. It has been such a joy to work with people who are so passionate about agriculture.”

Miller said she looks forward to continuing many of those relationships in her role with the KCC.

“This job has prepared me well for my role at KCC because I understand the farm to fork concept and how the supply chain works,” she said. “Leaving here is bittersweet, but I’m excited about where I’m going.”
