4-H FCS Judging - Health Contest Update

Submitted by Andrea Feldkamp

School is out for youth in your local communities. What does health look like where you live?

Entries for the 4-H FCS Judging Contest were due on May 15, 2018. Due to the low number of entries received, the committee has decided to reopen the opportunity for youth teams to submit. Here is the quick scoop:

• Youth in two age categories (9-13) and (14-18) can team up (2-4 youth per team) to focus on a local health aspect.
• The team will identify a health aspect to address, collect information about the aspect and create a video about the aspect.
• Video links are due to Andrea Feldkamp, afeld@ksu.edu, by July 10.
• Video entries will be reviewed, and qualifying entries will be invited to participate in the September 15 contest at the Kansas State Fair.
• Team winners of the September 15 contest are eligible to receive $250 towards the team’s plan for their health project.
• Visit http://www.kansas4-h.org/events-activities/contests/fcs-judging/index.html for rubric links and full contest details.
