Kerri Ebert Offers this Week's Shout Out

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

“I would like to give a Shout Out to Butler County Extension Agent David Kehler for saving the day with the North Central Region SARE Administrative Council (AC) Farm Tour on July 10. David did what Extension professionals do – he improvised a Plan B when the bus carrying the AC members (representatives from all 12 NCR states) broke down on a gravel road in rural Butler County. While our visitors to Kansas waited (at lunch time in 100 degree heat) on the replacement bus to arrive, David picked up lunch in Augusta, delivered to the remote site west of Leon, and set up a BBQ buffet on the tailgate of his pickup complete with white tablecloth. Best picnic lunch ever! Thank you, David for helping turn an ordeal into an uplifting adventure!”

Thanks David for going the extra mile, and thanks Kerri for letting us know about it. We are now caught up on past Shout Out nominations, and I know there are hundreds more who are deserving of recognition. Do your part by giving a Shout Out nomination. If you have a colleague or colleagues who deserve a Shout Out, please email me at ghadley@ksu.edu. Just give me their name and a short description of why they are deserving of a Shout Out.
