A “What’s Your Name?” Stocking Stuffer
Name badges are a simple little thing that do a lot. Name badges proudly display who we work for. They let people know who we are, or especially in a large organization such as ours, they remind people who we are.
One of the issues often mentioned during the listening sessions was that we needed new name badges. Quite frankly, while I didn’t disagree that they could be improved upon, I did not put them very high on the priority list. Others did, and I convened a small team to look into the matter of redesigning and procuring new name badges.
Fate must have approved. After convening the name badge design team, we received notice that our name badge provider was discontinuing the service by the end of 2018.
In marketing, a consistent look is important. As such, Extension Administration will initially cover the cost of replacing the name badges of everyone in K-State Research and Extension who currently has a name badge if we receive the order no later than December 21. Consider it a little stocking stuffer gift for this coming holiday season from me to you. The preferred date for receiving this information is December 14.
You can order your new name badge by emailing your information to Sue Robinson at srobinso@ksu.edu. Please print your name exactly as you want it on your badge, plus your county, district, region, or department. Also specify if you want a magnet or a pin. Clips are not offered. It would be helpful if units could coordinate lists instead of individuals each sending in their own order.
After this initial distribution, duplicate or replacement name badges will be issued using the previous process, which means that your county, district, region or department will be billed $8 for each badge ordered.
