Submitted by Deryl E. Waldren

The 2019 4-H Spring Development Conference - “The World Grows Here” is being sponsored by the Kansas Association of Extension 4-H Agents, April 24-25, 2019. This exciting two-day, one night program is open to any KSRE staff person. The conference will be held in Garden City, at the Southwest Research-Extension Center. The registration cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. Wednesday only costs $25, and Thursday only costs $25. The 2019 conference will immediately follow the Youth Development Program Focus Team meeting that will be held in the same location.

Join us for a “First Hand Account of an Immigrant in Southwest Kansas,” with Angelica Castillo Chappel, Garden City. Visit https://www.kauffman.org/rethink/garden-city to learn more about Angelica and her journey. You will experience a close up look at how new families to southwest Kansas navigate the maze of issues to successfully adjust and thrive.

An on-line system will be used for registering. Please register by April 12. Visit http://tinyurl.com/2019SPRINGMEETING. Please submit your payment to Lindsey Mueting, KAE4-HATreasurer, McPherson County Extension Office, 600 West Woodside, McPherson, KS 67460. Checks are to be made payable to the KAE4-HA and are due postmarked by April 12, 2019, or earlier. Click here for the 2019 program schedule.
