Join Us for the Spring 2019 MANRRS Week

The K-State MANRRS Chapter invites you to participate in our “Spring 2019 MANRRS Week.” The purpose of this week is to engage students, faculty members, and MANRRS students through various on campus events. Please join us for the events taking place from March 18 – March 22.

Tuesday, March 19 – College for a Day with Jr. MANRRS – Junction City High School
The MANRRS Chapter will host students from Junction City High School, Junction City, KS, on March 19 from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. During their time on campus, the students will have the opportunity to tour the beautiful K-State campus, as well as the many opportunities in the College of Agriculture.

Wednesday, March 20 – Panda Express Fundraiser & Merck Facilities Visit
Please support our MANRRS Panda Express Fundraiser which will take place in the K-State Student Union on March 20, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The K-State MANRRS Chapter will also have a delegation of students visit the Merck Animal Health Facility in DeSoto, KS.

Thursday, March 21 – F.I.T. Closet Clothing & Essentials Donation Drive; Professional Development Event
The F.I.T. Closet and Clothing Exchange is USD 383’s means of providing many of the necessary essentials (e.g. school supplies, shoes, clothing, coats, toiletries, hygiene products, laundry detergent as well as emergency food) so children can attend class and integrate successfully. Last year, USD 383 served over 300 homeless children by the end of the school year.

Donation table will be located in the K-State Student Union from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.. We will also be accepting items in Waters Hall 139, March 18 – March 22. Please donate new or gently used items: Socks, Underwear, K-State Gear, Toiletry Items, and School Supplies.

At 6 p.m. Mary Ellen Barkley will lead our Professional Development event which will take place in Waters Hall, room 106. The purpose of this event is to provide resume and behavioral interview tips to students. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Friday, March 22 – Bowling with MANRRS
Located at Union Bowling Alley from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend!
