Forms W-4 and K-4 are Now Available in HRIS Self-Service
Employees are now able to update their Federal Form W-4, Withholding Certificate and their State of Kansas K-4, Withholding Certificate online in HRIS through Self Service.
The W-4 can be found in HRIS using the following navigation:
- Main Menu -> Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > W-4 Tax Information
The K-4 can be found in HRIS using the following navigation:
- Main Menu -> Self Service > Payroll and Compensation > K-4 Tax Information
Instructions on how to update the W-4 and K-4 can be found using the following links on the Human Capital Services website.

Human Capital Services staff cannot give tax advice or give advice on how to complete the new 2020 Form W-4 or the State of Kansas K-4. Everyone’s tax situation is different.
If the employee is unclear on how to complete the new 2020 Form W-4, they should,
- Consultant with a tax advisor;
- Call the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at 1-888-275-1205 (option 1); or
- Go to the IRS website that is designed to help workers with W-4 tax questions. The website includes FAQS and videos to help answer their questions.
