January Extension Update Reminder

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

We will be holding our January Extension Update via Zoom this Friday – January 7, 2022 at 3 p.m. The connection information was sent December 22nd as a calendar invitation.

Our featured presenter will be Dean Joe Mocnik of the Kansas State University Libraries. Why is the dean of our libraries going to speak to us? The extension mission involves providing university resources to the people we serve so that they can improve their lives, livelihoods and communities. Why shouldn’t K-State Libraries be part of that mission?

Dean Mocnik previously held a similar position with North Dakota State University. While there, he developed quite the reputation for collaborating with the North Dakota State University Extension system. We have asked Dean Mocnik to share his thoughts on his successful collaborations with North Dakota State University Extension and his vision for how the Kansas State University Libraries may better partner with K-State Research and Extension in the future.

The current list of topics to be covered in the administrative update session of the Extension Update will include the Economic Prosperity Plan and its K-State 105 initiative, the State Extension Advisory Council election results, new board member onboarding and a request from the Access for All committee.

We are looking forward to meeting with you all on Friday!
