Register for the National Rural Grocery Summit

Submitted by Erica Blair

The Rural Grocery Initiative invites you to attend the 2022 National Rural Grocery Summit on June 20-21, at the Historic Drury Plaza Broadview Hotel in Wichita, Kansas. Register by May 15 to receive the Early Bird rate.

This biennial summit is the premier networking and resource-sharing venue for independent grocers and rural stakeholders. It brings together store owners, citizen leaders, food suppliers, academic researchers, healthy food practitioners, policy makers and resource providers from across the country.

Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Summit was canceled. Yet, grocers continued to face a challenging and ever-changing retail landscape with disruptions in the supply chain, growing competition from dollar stores, the rise of e-commerce and more. The 2022 Summit is more important than ever, providing a critical opportunity for participants to learn from and strategize with one another about sustaining rural grocery operations.

Featuring a full schedule of breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities, summit attendees will learn and discuss rural grocery best practices, innovation in rural food access, resources for rural grocers and much more.
