Reminder: Share About the Accessibility Fund Locally!

As a reminder, here is a message from your 2022 Youth Philanthropy Ambassadors!
Since 4-H began in Kansas, youth like us have been practicing generosity in many forms. For more than 115 years, Kansas 4-H has been committed to enhancing accessibility to 4-H experiences for current and new members. Because 4-H has taught us essential life skills, we want to share 4-H with everyone!
Each year, the Kansas 4-H Foundation partners with Kansas Youth Leadership Council to select Youth Philanthropy Ambassadors (YPAs). As the 2022 YPAs, we are launching the Accessibility Fund! This fund will support the financial, physical, social and emotional needs of youth. Here are some examples of how we can enhance accessibility for current and future 4-H members:
Financial assistance to cover the 4-H enrollment fee for a member in need
Paving of trails at Rock Springs Ranch so a camper with physical limitations can participate in all camp experiences
Online access to educational programs for 4-H members across the state.
Our goal for Kansas 4-H clubs is to raise $20,000 by October 31. For every $5,000 that we raise, generous donors, Daryl and Joyce Buchholz, will match every gift dollar for dollar up to our goal of $20,000! Daryl and Joyce believe in providing the 4-H experience for all youth. Their generosity means our total would double and become $40,000!
We can only accomplish this goal together. We have put together a message to send to clubs across the state. We need your help delivering this message to local clubs within your units. The letter has been delivered to your county extension box in Umberger Hall. Please encourage clubs in your area to participate in this initiative by making a gift of any size by Monday, October 31, as we kick off the new 4-H year.
All clubs that make a gift to the Accessibility Fund will be recognized as 2022 Gavel Club members. Gavel Club is a recognition society managed by the Kansas 4-H Foundation that celebrates 4-H clubs throughout the state that philanthropically support the mission of Kansas 4-H.
