Research Updates
The 2023 Western Kansas Agricultural Research report is now online. This year's report topics include cropping and tillage systems, insect control, irrigation, weather, weed science and wheat. The research dives into soil moisture; cover crop and tillage practices; crop rotations; sorghum midge; deficit irrigation techniques; weed control and efficacy in corn, fallow, and forage and grain sorghum; and wheat production practices.
The 2023 Kansas Performance Tests with Winter Wheat Varieties report is now online. The Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station annually compares both new and currently grown varieties in the state’s major crop-producing areas. These performance tests generate unbiased performance information designed to help Kansas growers select wheat varieties suited for their area and conditions.
