Shout Out: Rural Grocery Initiative Team
This week the Shout Out is from Erin Bishop, Double Up Food Bucks Program Manager; and is sent for the Rural Grocery Initiative Team. Erin writes:
"Shout out to Rial Carver, Erica Blair, Clara Misenhelter, and the entire Rural Grocery Initiative Team for their leadership and partnership with the Auburn Hunger Solutions Institute in planning and hosting the Rural Grocery Summit held in Montgomery, Alabama. Their hard work organizing an engaging and informative event provided me with the chance to develop new skills and practice new ways of thinking in the nutrition incentive field, learn from others doing innovative work in rural food systems, and connect with many peers across the country. The summit facilitated lots of networking and resource sharing dedicated to enhancing rural food systems and I’m a better professional because of it. Thank you for all your hard work, RGI Team!"
