Family Resource Management Professional Development Day
The Family Resource Management Team is hosting a Professional Development Day on Wednesday, August 27, at the American Ag Credit Building (925 W Magnolia Rd, Salina, KS). All K-State Extension disciplines are welcome to attend.
Topics include:
• Scams
• Social Security
• Elder financial exploitation
• The CASH program
• Promoting physical activity among older adults

This event follows the SHICK Session 3 Update training for experienced agents on Tuesday, August 26, in Salina. If you plan to attend SHICK and haven’t registered with KDADS, please do so soon—space is limited:

Lunch Information:
• Lunch is $25 per day and available to those who pre-register and request it.
• Nearby dining options are also available along the 9th Street corridor (approx. 0.5 mile away) if you prefer to eat off-site.
• You are welcome to bring your own lunch. There is a refrigerator available on-site.
• SHICK-only attendees may also request lunch using the PFT registration form above.
Lodging:
For those attending both events, accommodations are available at the Fairfield Inn, 2455 Virginia Dr., directly across from the training site. The room block rate of $119 per night is available Monday and Tuesday nights. Booking code is FCS – K-State. The last day to book is August 8, 2025.
