Now Accepting Applications: K-State Extension New Agent Coaches

K-State Extension is continually enhancing the onboarding process to better support new professionals. Welcoming and guiding new agents is a shared responsibility—and it takes all of us to ensure their success. The new agent coaching team plays a role in mentoring and advising agents during their first year and we are looking for new members to join this team.
About the Role
Each year, 10–12 experienced agents from across regions and program areas will serve as New Professional Coaches. These coaches will guide new agents through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and network-building opportunities. Coaches will receive a $2,000 annual stipend and commit approximately 4 hours per week (.1 FTE) to the role.
Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting onboarding within the first two weeks.
• Leading monthly Zoom sessions and regional connect events.
• Facilitating networking and professional development.
• Participating in monthly coaching team meetings and training.
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for agents with at least three years of KSRE experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a deep commitment to the extension mission. A two-year commitment is required (October–September). Terms for new coaches will start October 1.
