Submitted by Office of External Engagement-Engaged Scholarship
As higher education institutions expand their focus on meaningful community impact, the roles of extension and engagement are becoming more interconnected than ever. Both are vital to advancing community partnerships and applied research—but how do they complement each other, and where do their efforts intersect?
The Office of External Engagement–Engaged Scholarship invites you to join a timely webinar, hosted by the Engagement Scholarship Consortium, where leaders from three land-grant universities share how they are reimagining collaboration between extension and engagement. Panelists will discuss:
- How their units uniquely and collectively contribute to institutional engagement goals
- Challenges and opportunities in communicating their value across campus
- Strategies to move from siloed to synergistic approaches
- Preparing the next generation of engagement professionals
Kansas State University will be represented by Marshall Stewart, Executive Vice President for External Engagement and Chief of Staff, and Gregg Hadley, Assistant Vice President and Director for Extension. Their participation highlights the critical role of both extension and engagement in shaping our university’s future and fostering stronger partnerships across Kansas and beyond.
