Shout Out: Christina Holmes
This week the Shout Out is sent from Valori Stone, on behalf of the Southeast Regional FCS Agents; and is sent for Christina Holmes, Southeast Regional Extension FCS Specialist. They write:
"The Southeast Regional FCS agents want to give a shout out to Christina Holmes, Southeast Regional Extension Specialist. Each of us gave input on how much Christina positively impacts us at work. Christina is consistently described as an extraordinary leader whose blend of professionalism, warmth, and vision elevates everyone around her. Colleagues emphasize her responsiveness, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering willingness to help—whether answering questions, finding solutions, or navigating complex program changes. From the very beginning, she makes people feel welcomed and supported, creating an environment where agents feel comfortable reaching out and confident in their work. Her encouragement, positivity, and genuine care make her not only a trusted resource but a steady source of motivation.
Beyond her day to day support, Christina is celebrated for her ability to build community and strengthen connections across the Southeast Region. She intentionally fosters collaboration through small groups, teaching blocks, and engaging program days that help agents feel united despite working in different counties. Her creativity, big picture thinking, and commitment to excellence set a high standard for leadership. Again and again, people express how fortunate they feel to work with her—calling her a role model, a difference maker, and truly the kind of leader every discipline wishes they had."
