Innovation in Extension

Submitted by Daryl Buchholz

Daryl Buchholz

INNOVATION was the theme for The National Extension Directors and Administrators Conference recently in St Louis. As a part of that meeting, a special video of created quoting several Extension Directors/Administrators from across the country talking about the future of Extension. In that video, those Directors talk about Cooperative Extension’s RELEVANCE, VISION, PARTNERSHIPS, INNOVATION, UNIQUENESS, and RETURN ON INVESTMENT.

As unique as we may believe we are with our work and our programming, our purpose and our mission is consistent across the nation’s Land-Grant University Cooperative Extension Services. As you listen to Extension Directors across the U.S., you will hear statements consistent with K-State Research and Extension’s vision and strategic plan for 2025. I believe through the great work of our Extension faculty, agents, and staff, we are on track for a strong future for Extension in Kansas!

Have a great week!
