Position Announcement: Director of KSRE News Media
The incumbent in this position will direct public issues management, risk and crisis communication, strategic communication, media relations, and news distribution about research and activities of the Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station, the Kansas Cooperative Extension Service, and the College of Agriculture. The reporting and dissemination of research-based information through this medium serves as one means of communicating research to the general public such that it can be understood and applied in daily lives in support of the Kansas Cooperative Extension Service.
This incumbent will supervise and evaluate 8-12 professional communicators in producing content to popular and trade press, radio, video, and social media for statewide, national, and international distribution.
