National Urban Extension Conference Returns to North Central Region

Submitted by Marlin Bates

Make plans now to attend the 2017 National Urban Extension Conference in Bloomington, MN May 7-11, 2017. The conference will feature presentations, workshops, local tours, networking and an evening at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This conference provides you the opportunity to learn first-hand about innovative approaches to programming, network with your peers from across the country, and receive inspiration for your work in your county/district.

I encourage you to consider responding to the call for proposals that can be found here. Proposals from all program areas are encouraged to share research and innovative educational strategies that address the needs of urban, suburban, and peri-urban populations as well as urban-rural interdependencies. Proposals may be for presentations, workshops, posters, and panel discussions. Abstracts that highlight research and/or outreach activities that involve partnerships between practitioners and Extension professionals are especially encouraged.

More details are available at the conference website here.
