PDC Resources: Guidelines for Expanding PDCs

Submitted by Stacey Warner

PDC Resources

Program Development Committees will be re-organizing in the next few weeks. This is a good time to look at the membership of the committee. Remember that PDCs can be expanded to help ensure representation of constituencies including geographic distribution, age, gender, race and other factors. PDCs can also be expanded by appointing members who have an interest and expertise in a specialized area of programming - horticulture or nutrition, for example.

If the local extension board and agent(s) determine that a PDC should be expanded, they should brainstorm possible committee members and then issue an invitation to serve.

See Program Development Committee: Guidelines for Expansion for more information.
