Diversity Programs Office Update
We hope your semester has gone well. The College of Agriculture Diversity Programs Office has been busy with our events to support our faculty, staff and students. The K-State MANRRS chapter is busy with fundraisers, community service events and participated in the 2017 Region 4 MANRRS conference in Oklahoma City, OK with our own Tiffany Carter, PH Candidate in Agronomy and Region Graduate YP, serving as one of the coordinators. The K-State delegation included 10 students and Lonnie Hobbs, Jr., MANRRS co-advisor attended the event as well. Earlier this month, Makinsey McIntosh, President of the K-State MANRRS chapter represented us at the annual AFA (Agriculture Future of America) meeting in Kansas City, MO. Most recently our students represented our college during the annual Cargill Higher Education Committee visit on Friday, November 17, 2017. Adriana Meneses, Senior-ASI; and Carlos Flores, Senior - Ag Business; were featured speakers. On Wednesday, November 15, we will have our annual Friendsgiving dinner and Dr. Gregg Hadley, Associate Director-KSRE will greet the chapter with remarks.
Best wishes to all for a safe Thanksgiving break! If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dr. Zelia Wiley at zwiley@ksu.edu, or 785-532-5793.
