May 24, 2018 - Partnership Meeting Save-The-Date
At this year’s winter Partnership Meetings, we announced moving to a new Partnership Meeting format. The purpose of Partnership Meetings is for local unit Extension Boards, local Extension professionals, and K-State Research and Extension Administration to celebrate our Extension accomplishments and talk about issues affecting Kansas, Extension, our partnerships and our system.
Unfortunately, we have seen declining participation from our Extension Board partners. That is understandable. It is hard for our volunteer leaders to break away from their busy days to meet for a day-long meeting. We decided to move to a more frequent and more readily accessible system of Partnership Meetings so that more of our Extension Board partners would be able to engage in these important meetings.
We want to announce a save-the-date for Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the first of the new generation of Partnership Meetings. The meeting will be conducted via Zoom or another meeting distance. Connection information and the official agenda will be provided at a later date, but, overall, we will be having the typical administrative update, what has happened since the winter Partnership Meetings, and discussing the six strategic emphases.
Local units may want to meet with their Extension Boards in order to engage in this meeting, but, remember, the goal for these meetings is greater participation and engagement. If someone cannot meet in a collective manner, then please urge them to join the meeting from the privacy of their own homes, offices, or wherever they may be.
