Alpha Gamma Rho Fall Leadership Banquet

Submitted by Alpha Gamma Rho

Kansas Agricultural Educators and Extension Agents, we would like to thank you for your commitment to developing youth and investing in the future of the agricultural industry. At Kansas State University, we get the pleasure of seeing the fruits of your labor in the young leaders who choose to further their education in Manhattan.

We would like to share with you a new opportunity for further leadership development, in the hopes that you may wish to nominate some young leaders to participate. The Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity is hosting our inaugural Agricultural Leadership Banquet on December 1, at Kansas State University. The event is free and open to high school men who have an interest in agriculture and Kansas State University. All high-school aged men are welcome; juniors and seniors preferred. Knowledge of or particular interest in fraternity life is not a requirement.

Alpha Gamma Rho’s purpose is to make better men and through them a broader and better agriculture. We believe this program and banquet will further our purpose by giving young men interested in agriculture an opportunity to think deeply about how they can achieve their goals through higher education. Current Alpha Gamma Rho members serving as College of Agriculture Ambassadors will be guiding an informal campus tour to showcase important buildings throughout the university and if time allows, we will venture out to take a glance at some of Kansas State’s research units. Attendees will have the opportunity to dine with current students and faculty members in K-State’s College of Agriculture and will hear from current leaders in the agricultural industry including Kansas Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Josh Roe, and the current President of Angus Genetics Inc., Dr. Dan Moser, talk about leadership and success throughout college and into their future careers.

While we will share information on how Alpha Gamma Rho can help students reach their goals, students should look forward to this event as a leadership development opportunity and an introduction to college life rather than a fraternity recruitment. We hope that you will suggest this event to students who would find it beneficial or fill out a nomination form at https://www.ksuagr.com/refer-a-friend/.
