Plant Health Summer Internships - Encourage Undergrads You Know to Apply
Do you know undergraduates in agriculture or biology fields who might be interested in summer internships for plant health? Please share this with them! Our goal is to reach out to undergrads who might be interested in Research or Extension but don't know where to start. We are advertising on campus, but we'd like the majority of our interns to come from smaller institutions around (and beyond) KSU.
The Department of Plant Pathology at Kansas State University (K-State) will be offering summer internships in plant pathology and related subjects (e.g. crop genetics, horticulture, entomology, and agronomy). The student interns will work with faculty, postdoctoral scholars, or graduate students at K-State on research projects that will be either lab-, greenhouse-, field-based, or a combination of above components. *Field trips will include Extension experiences with on-campus faculty and opportunities to work with county/district agents.*
The program will run from the 28th of May to the 26th of July 2019, and interns will receive:
--A stipend of $4900, paid in several installments over the summer.
--A travel reimbursement allowance up to $600 for airfare, mileage, etc.
--Housing and dining (20 meals per week) in K-State dorms (double occupancy) will be provided.
