Government Funding for Local Communities
At KSRE annual conference last fall, we had a workshop on Government Funding Sources for Local Communities. Several of you liked it so much that you asked me to bring the speakers to your local community for your volunteers to hear.
To that end, we will host a zoom call this Thursday, February 28, from 5:30-6:30 p.m., from the Shawnee County Extension offices, 1740 SW Western Ave. Our guests, Debbie Beck, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG); and Jessica Bowser, (USDA- Community Development); will present an array of resources. You will be amazed at the opportunities open to your communities.
Shawnee County volunteers will be in the room, but all volunteers have the opportunity to ask questions at the end. Feel free to invite your PDC, board members, county commissioners, city clerk or anyone in your community you think should hear this. The call will be recorded for later viewing.
