First Friday-- Kansas Financing Options for Small Business

Submitted by Nancy Daniels

Funding for small business

On Friday, August 2, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Rachell Rowand, Program Manager for Business and Community Development in the Department of Commerce, will tell us about Kansas financing options for small business. These options include:

1) Kansas Angel Investor Tax Credit Program (KAITC) a tool for Kansas entrepreneurs to bring in investment.

2) Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) to give employed low-income Kansans the opportunity to achieve financial self-sufficiency through asset development via matched savings accounts.

The purpose of these calls is to increase the local community's knowledge about the

  • experts,
  • education and
  • economic resources available to help small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The call is a zoom call at https://ksu.zoom.us/j/2636377104. If you would like to get on the notification list for First Friday calls, please contact Nancy Daniels at nkdaniels@ksu.edu.
