Shout Out: K-State Research and Extension – Geary County Agents

Submitted by Gregg Hadley

This week’s Shout Out comes from Associate Director for Field Operations Dr. Jim Lindquist and is extended to the agents of K-State Research and Extension – Geary County.

“I would like to do a shout out for the Geary County agent group, Chuck Otte, Deb Andres and Ginger Kopfer. They represented K-State Research and Extension and the work of our local unit agents very well in a visit to their office by seven MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) summer fellows. The students are all agriculture undergraduates and were from Tuskegee University, Southern University in Louisiana and Virginia State University. They are spending the summer on the K-State campus working with faculty in their respective fields of study. Chuck, Deb and Ginger did a fantastic job explaining what they do as Extension agents. Several of the students told me how impressed they were with the passion the agents conveyed as they talked about their Extension work and serving the people of their county. Thank you Chuck, Deb and Ginger!”

Chuck, Deb, and Ginger – thanks for this and all you do!

If you know of a colleague or colleagues that are deserving of a Shout Out for a job well done, please send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
