KSRE Duo Enrollment Begins October 14

Submitted by Gregg Hadley and Jennifer Wilson

Per President Myers' announcement in K-State Today, Duo two-factor authentication is being implemented for Kansas State University faculty and staff.

On Monday, October 14, KRSE staff who have not already enrolled will receive their Duo enrollment emails. You must wait for the email before enrolling. The enrollment deadline for KSRE staff is Monday, October 28.

Enrollment in Duo is very intuitive and should only take 5-10 minutes. Step-by-step enrollment instructions are available on the K-State Duo website. Enrollment help is available by contacting the IT Help Desk at 785-532-7722.

While on the Manhattan campus for Annual Conference, KSRE staff can also stop by the IT Help Desk located on the second floor of the K-State Student Union in the Cat’s Pause Lounge.

Using the Duo app on a smartphone is the easiest way to authenticate. Staff that are unable to use a smartphone for authentication can use a token instead. Tokens can be purchased for $13 at the ID Center on the ground floor of the K-State Student Union.

Duo enrollment is mandatory. If you do not self-enroll by the enrollment deadline, you will be automatically enrolled in Duo.

Individuals who do not self-enroll will experience delays when they try to access K-State’s applications and services on Tuesday, October 29. They will be automatically enrolled in Duo, but will still need to set up their authentication devices.

Thank you for your support as we continue to enhance K-State’s online security. --Duo Implementation Team
