Shout Out: Karen Blakeslee
This week’s Shout Out comes to us from K-State Research and Extension Sedgwick County’s Sara Sawer and goes out to Extension Associate Karen Blakeslee. Sara writes:
“I would like to see Karen Blakeslee receive a shout out. Karen has been an incredible support to me in restarting the Master Food Volunteer Program here in Sedgwick County. She attends the trainings when possible even if she is not speaking and helps me think through ideas and activities. Karen also has been a speaker at the training several times and is a wealth of knowledge. My volunteers love when she speaks and they always learn from her. Karen has such a large job, but she makes times to support this program even when she doesn’t have the time to spare. She is a gem and I couldn’t have done this training without her.”
Karen, thanks for all that you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension!
If you know of a colleague or colleagues that deserve a Shout Out for a job well done, please send me their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
