Making 4-H Events Councils Work

Submitted by Beth Hinshaw

We have moved one of the dates for the upcoming Making 4-H Events Councils Work Webinars as it was on the same date as the KSRE Civil Rights training planned for Parsons, Kansas. The webinars (2 parts) are planned for Wednesday, February 19, and Wednesday, February 26, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. There will be no webinar on February 5 as originally shown in the KSRE Professional Development system. Please watch the Tuesday Letter and email for the Zoom connection information.

Do you want to make your 4-H Events Council more effective? This series of two webinars will help you learn more about the purpose of the council and ideas for improving program outcomes.

Topics included:

Understanding the purpose of a 4-H Events Council
Constitution and By-Laws
Learn about effective meeting plans and member/volunteer engagement
How to make multiple meetings work
Effective committee structures
Understanding 4-H Council budgeting, finance and fundraising
New ideas for your local group

If you have questions, please contact Beth Hinshaw, Diane Mack or Amy Sollock.
