Business Succession Planning Resource

Submitted by Nadine J Sigle

We've all seen the situation where a long standing business in your community closes due to the lack of a successor to take over the business. Business succession planning is difficult and often business owners don't know where to turn for help.

Recently, the Kansas Center for Business Transition opened to help small business owners with succession planning. The center is located on the Johnson County Community College campus and will work with businesses across the state. Jack Harwell, director, is a certified exit planner with the Small Business Development Center.

To learn more about the Kansas Center for Business Transition, join us on Tuesday, November 17, at 2 p.m. for a one hour webinar. Jack Harwell will share information about the center and its resources.

To register, email nsigle@ksu.edu by Monday, November 16. The link will be sent upon registration.
