Shout Out: Lisa Heller and Mandy Wilson
This week’s Shout Out comes to us from the Department of Agricultural Economics’ Rich Llewelyn and is directed to our K-State Research and Extension’s Bookstore colleagues Lisa Heller and Mandy Wilson. Rich wrote:
“Lisa Heller and Mandy Wilson, in the mail center in Umberger, have gone above and beyond in helping our tax seminars work this year. Due to COVID, many of our participants moved to our online format. This meant that nearly 600 large tax workbooks needed to be mailed out over the last six weeks. There were three large groups of them that were sent, but then almost daily, I had 4-8 books that went out as new registrations arrived each day. They were there every day, and Lisa in particular worked to get them sent in a timely fashion, then sent me the tracking numbers so I could track them if there was a delivery problem. In addition, Mandy worked to get the Farmer Tax Guides sent out to the counties when they arrived. More than 3,500 of these guides were sent to each of our counties so they can be made available to folks who need them. Lisa and Mandy were a great help and encouragement to me in the way they took care of these things efficiently and cheerfully, and I’m very grateful for them.”
Lisa and Mandy, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, your colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension!
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues that deserve to be recognized for going above and beyond their call of duty, why not give them a Shout Out? Simply send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
