Shout Out: Our Online Extension Master Gardener Program Team
This week’s Shout Out comes to us from K-State Research and Extension Douglas County Agent Tom Buller. Tom writes:
“I’d like to give a Shout Out to the folks who organized the online Extension Master Gardener program. I was blown away at the December 17 graduation celebration by the number of people from around the state that the program was able to engage. While many people contributed information and effort to putting the program together, two groups really deserve special recognition. First, a very special thank-you goes out to Cheryl Boyer and Brooke Garcia, who put the training program online and, perhaps more importantly, kept it really engaging and fun. I loved the energy they both brought every week. And second, to the agents, especially those who maybe had a smaller EMG program or perhaps no program, but who got out and recruited great participation in their counties and districts. Seeing the variety of people across the state who were so engaged in learning about gardening and having fun together was amazing.”
Cheryl, Brooke, and everyone else who contributed to this very important project, thanks for all you do for the people we serve, our colleagues, and K-State Research and Extension.
If you know of a colleague or team of colleagues who deserves a Shout Out for a job well done, please send their name(s) and the reason for the Shout Out to ghadley@ksu.edu.
