Kansas 4-H Project Award Winner Selection- Evaluators Needed
The Kansas 4-H program is in need of agents, specialists, staff and volunteers, who are willing to evaluate state 4-H project award finalists. Each project award area can have up to eight finalists (two from each of the four regions) that need to be evaluated. For obvious reasons, you are not allowed to evaluate any of the project areas that your own children may be competing in.
There are two components to evaluate from each finalist:
1.) the 4-H Kansas Award Portfolio (KAP)
2.) Interview Video- 5 minutes or less, uploaded on YouTube
Requirements:
Evaluators will electronically sign a confidentially statement and receive additional information on how to score the KAPs & Video. Each project area will have three individuals evaluate each KAP and video individually. An aggregate score will determine winners for the KAP Project Area. The process is entirely virtual and can be done at your own pace with a two week time frame in March.
Skills and Knowledge and Requirements:
• Previous experience using evaluation rubric
• Ability to be fair and objective
• Committed to applying the 4-H KAP criteria for the selection process
• Access to reliable internet and technology
If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please complete a short form linked here on or before February 15, 2021: https://kstate.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eaHWf7RhRAYgWY5.
